Accessibility Statement

Proud and Diverse Cumbria wants everyone to be able to use Proud and Diverse Cumbria, whatever device they use and however they read, hear or move around a website. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we are still working on, and how to get help.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers things like text that can be read against its background, a site that works with a keyboard alone, images that are described for screen readers, and pages that still work when text is enlarged. The site was built and is maintained by Technophobia Ltd.

The law

This is a voluntary statement. We publish it because we want to, not because a regulation requires it.

How accessible this site is

We tested this site on 20 October 2026 with automated checks (Technophobia Site Check, which uses the axe accessibility engine, and WAVE) and checked keyboard use and colour contrast by hand. Most of the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA. The parts that do not are listed below.
